Apple claims that Samsung copied the design, look and feel of the iPad 2, thereby infringing upon many of Apple’s patents.

In Australia, Apple  filed a lawsuit against Samsung, which blocked it from going on sale and forced them to postpone the launch event. In the U.S, Apple filed a similar lawsuit against Samsung accusing them of violating some of their patents.

Apple has recently won a preliminary injunction against Samsung which stopped the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe, except in Netherlands. Samsung have to take all Galaxy tablets off the shelves until the German court restart the hearing.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was the fastest selling tablet after iPad.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is thinner and lighter than the iPad 2 featuring a larger display. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is just 8.6mm thick, slightly thinner than the 8.8mm thick iPad 2.
